We haven't seen it in a while, but we remember Kurt Russell trying to figure out who is human and who is the alien. We remember an abundance of gore and fantastic, practical effects. Blood, violence, and a tension that ramps up until the final act are what we remember and hope John Carpenter's The Thing still emboldens.
