The Tampa Bay Rays blow another game, losing to the Cleveland Guardians, 4-3. The Rays got the scoring started in the 2nd inning with a RBI single by Everson Pereira. Cleveland would score a run in the bottom of the inning to make it 1-1. The big hit came off the bat of Brandon Lowe in the 3rd inning. Lowe hit a 2 run home run to give the Rays a 3-2 lead. The offense did not get much going after the 3rd inning, but did just enough to get the win. The Guardians would make it 3-2 in the 5th. It stayed 3-2 until the 9th inning. Pete Fairbanks allowed a solo homer to Nolan Jones to tie the game. After the Rays got nothing in the top of the 10th the Guardians hit a walk off single to win the game Drew Rasmussen pitched the first 6 innings and was good once again. He went 6 IP only giving up 4 hits and 2 runs. The Rays will head to Washington D.C to face the Nationals starting Friday night.
