Habits of High Performers: James Laughlin on Mindset & Success

James Laughlin is a high-performance coach. He hosts his own podcast called “Lead on Purpose” and he has just written a book: “Habits of High Performance.”

He works with top leaders and athletes around the world, helping them build resilience, clarity, and habits that drive success.

He knows his stuff too- before becoming a coach he was officially the world’s best pipe band drummer. A title he held for 7 years

This podcast episode has a couple of objectives- getting to know a bit more about James and who he is. And tapping into his knowledge so we can all get more out of life.

🎧 In this episode you’ll learn:

  • Why belief systems shape success
  • The truth about purpose & finding your “why”
  • The hidden cost of being “busy”
  • Why high performers don’t believe in sleep-ins
  • How to master delayed gratification
  • The power of journaling & breathwork
  • Leadership lessons: Boss vs. Leader

Whether you’re chasing goals in sport, business, or life, this episode is packed with actionable insights to help you unlock your best self.

I’ve been a fan of James work for years and we have become mates, so it was an honor to spend this time with him. I hope it leaves you feeling motivated and charged for life.
