On December 5th, 1945, 5 Grumman Avenger airplanes carrying 14 men and 13 men in a Martin Mariner Search and Rescue Seaplane were swallowed up in the Bermuda Triangle, leaving no trace of their existence, despite a search by over 300 ships and planes.
