TNTF Presents Faces Of The League: Ep. 7 - "Black American Made: Pt. 2"
Description
In episode seven of Faces of The League, Gavriel and Torrence resume their summer convo by placing the spotlight on a quartet of young stars who are no strangers to it in Anthony Edwards, Ja Morant, Zion Williamson and LaMelo Ball.
As the duo begins things by assessing their respective situations as it pertains to the markets they star in (02:02), before sharing their thoughts on whether or not the media has been fair to them and allowed each of them the necessary grace to truly grow and learn from their ups and downs thus far at the professional level (13:54) and is the face of the franchise label thrown too quickly onto some of the game's emerging phenoms (25:30).
While also examining if the NBA does itself a disservice not providing such talent with veterans they can learn from in the wake of Cooper Flagg being selected No. 1 overall by the Mavericks in this year's draft (27:30), prior to exclusively contemplating on Anthony Edwards and if he's too authentic to be the consensus choice as the face of the league following the remarks he made at the 2025 NBA All-Star festivities (30:58) and if Zion & Ja have missed out on their chance to be part of the discussion. Including what they would have to do to regain entry into it and more if they have (41:38).
