SUBJECT: The National Guard normally deployed to provide support during civil disturbances, natural disasters. The National Guard can provide vital assistance when local law enforcement is overwhelmed.
These recent events have caused President Donald Trump to use the National Guard for a security crackdown in Washington, D.C. He has deployed nearly 2,000 guardsmen, to assist law enforcement. The National Guard's role includes crowd control, perimeter security, and patrols, with a recent order authorizing them to carry weapons. The President has taken direct control of the D.C. police force and the D.C. National Guard. The D.C. Guard reports solely to the President, unlike state-based units.
This forum will be putting the spotlight on every and any thing of GLOBAL importance. Our main focus and intention is that we will be addressing issues that might be a sensitive sensation on the GLOBAL stage.
