The Promise of His Return Luke 19:13  #RTTBROS  #Nightlight  The Promise of His Return "Occupy till I come" (Luke 19:13). These words of Jesus remind us that He will return one day. Though He ascended into heaven after His resurrection, Jesus did not leave us alone. He sent the Holy Spirit to dwell within believers and empower us to carry on His work here on earth. Jesus' command to "occupy" means we are to actively live out our faith with purpose, diligence and vigilance. We are to invest our lives in building God's kingdom through acts of love, service, generosity and sharing the gospel. We are to faithfully steward all that God has given us - our time, talents, treasures and testimony. Life on earth is a temporary assignment. Jesus' return is our blessed hope. Until that day, we are to stay busy with the Master's business, living each day as though it could be our last. May this promise of Christ's return fill us with holy anticipation.
