Ro: Soarele strălucea puternic peste plaja aglomerată din Vama Veche.
En: The sun was shining brightly over the crowded beach in Vama Veche.
Ro: Era ultima săptămână din august și tot mai multe umbrele colorate împânzeau nisipul fin.
En: It was the last week of August, and more and more colorful umbrellas were spreading over the fine sand.
Ro: Mihai stătea întins pe șezlong, cu ochii închiși, ascultând valurile care se rostogoleau leneșe spre țărm.
En: Mihai was lying on a sunbed, eyes closed, listening to the lazy waves rolling towards the shore.
Ro: Lângă el, Ioana, verişoara lui, se uita gânditoare la lista pentru cumpărături de școală.
En: Next to him, Ioana, his cousin, was thoughtfully looking at the back-to-school shopping list.
Ro: "Mihai, trebuie să ne mișcăm. Trebuie să cumpărăm rechizite." spuse Ioana hotărâtă.
En: "Mihai, we need to get moving. We need to buy school supplies," Ioana said with determination.
Ro: Mihai deschise ochii, deranjat de cuvântul „școală”. Se întinse și se uită către Ioana.
En: Mihai opened his eyes, bothered by the word "school." He stretched and looked towards Ioana.
Ro: "Mai avem câteva zile. Hai să ne bucurăm de plajă acum."
En: "We still have a few days. Let's enjoy the beach now."
Ro: Ioana oftă. Știa că Mihai nu voia să piardă niciun moment din ultimele zile de vară, dar ea avea un alt plan.
En: Ioana sighed. She knew that Mihai didn't want to miss a single moment of the last days of summer, but she had a different plan.
Ro: "Trebuie să fim pregătiți. Școala e importantă."
En: "We need to be prepared. School is important."
Ro: Mihai se ridică, privindu-l pe cerul albastru.
En: Mihai stood up, looking at the blue sky.
Ro: "Hai să vedem apusul mai întâi. Uite câte lucruri frumoase se întâmplă pe plajă. Putem să cumpărăm ce ne trebuie și mâine."
En: "Let's watch the sunset first. See how many beautiful things are happening on the beach. We can buy what we need tomorrow."
Ro: Tensiunea dintre cei doi creștea, la fel ca soarele de pe cer.
En: The tension between them was rising, just like the sun in the sky.
Ro: "Nu putem să tot amânăm. Trebuie să fim responsabili," exclamă Ioana.
En: "We can't keep postponing. We need to be responsible," Ioana exclaimed.
Ro: "Dar nu vreau să-mi petrec ziua în magazine!" ripostă Mihai, ridicându-se și pornind spre țărm.
En: "But I don't want to spend my day in stores!" Mihai retorted, getting up and heading towards the shore.
Ro: Acum, rămasă singură, Ioana privi în direcția lui Mihai.
En: Now, left alone, Ioana looked in the direction of Mihai.
Ro: Îl înțelegea, dar știa că era esențial să fie organizați pentru noul an școlar.
En: She understood him, but she knew it was essential to be organized for the new school year.
Ro: În cele din urmă, decisă să nu-l lase singur, Ioana se ridică și merse după el.
En: In the end, determined not to leave him alone, Ioana got up and went after him.
Ro: Pe malul mării, Mihai privea spre orizont, cu picioarele scufundate în apă.
