These chapters are so hard, y'all. The whole thing, from start to finish, is an absolute loss of hopes and ideals and innocence that Tarasai was somehow still clinging to despite everything she's already gone through. Not only are her dreams of justice very nearly mocked and certainly dismissed, but her mother finds a way to reactivate her Ehru mission and I HATE IT.
