This episode was really fucking heavy. There's so much grief, there's so much violence, and there are some really effective, stark examples of how these cycles of violence continue to play out endlessly, even spanning generations. Poor Winry unexpectedly gets hit with the news that the guy Ed is fighting is the same guy who killed her parents, and we get to see the flashback of how exactly it went down. She's faced with a choice; does she avenge them, or honor them by living the way that they themselves lived?
