The Clark County Medical Examiner has identified 16-year-old Anthony Tarnoski of Battle Ground as the teen who drowned in the Columbia River near Frenchman’s Bar. Police said he slipped underwater on Aug. 13 and did not resurface. Multiple agencies responded, and his body was recovered the following day by the Multnomah County Dive Team with assistance from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. A Clark County Fire District 6 news release stated he was swimming toward a wing dam when he suddenly went under.
