Sl: Ljubljansko barje je bilo čarobno tisto poletno jutro.
En: The Ljubljansko barje was magical that summer morning.
En: The sun shone through light mists, and there was silence, interrupted only by birdsong.
Sl: Matej, Nina in Gregor so prišli zgodaj, opremljeni za opazovanje ptic.
En: Matej, Nina, and Gregor arrived early, equipped for bird watching.
Sl: Matej je bil najbolj navdušen.
En: Matej was the most excited.
En: He dreamed of finding the elusive brown shrike.
En: At the edge of the marsh, as they took the backpacks out of the car, Nina noticed that something important was missing.
Sl: "Kje so daljnogledi?
En: "Where are the binoculars?"
Sl: " je vprašala.
En: she asked.
Sl: Matej je zaskrbjeno preiskal svoj nahrbtnik.
En: Matej anxiously searched his backpack.
Sl: "Uh-oh," je rekel, "pozabili smo jih doma.
En: "Uh-oh," he said, "we left them at home."
Sl: "Gregor je smeje skomignil z rameni.
En: Gregor shrugged with a laugh.
Sl: "No, vsaj imamo sendviče," je rekel.

En: But Matej was disappointed.
Sl: "Kako bomo zdaj videli ptice?
En: "How are we going to see birds now?"
Sl: "Nina, vedno pripravljena, je poskusila pomiriti sodelavce.
En: Nina, always prepared, tried to calm her companions.
En: "Hey, maybe we can improvise somehow," she suggested.
Sl: Sprehodili so se do lesene opazovalnice.
En: They walked to the wooden observation post.
En: The view of the vastness of the reeds was stunning.
Sl: Matej je še vedno obupano gledal v daljavo.
En: Matej still desperately stared into the distance.
Sl: "Našli bomo način," je rekla Nina odločno.
En: "We'll find a way," Nina said confidently.
En: With some imagination, they took the maps that Nina always carried with her and rolled them into tubes.
En: Their idea proved more humorous than effective.
En: Gregor observed only clouds through his "binoculars," while Matej and Nina struggled to focus.
En: Matej twisted with difficulty, trying to catch the outline of a bird in the sky through the map.
En: His efforts were in vain, but soon they realized it wasn't just about the birds.
En: A few meters away, in a large field, a real spectacle was unfolding.
Sl: Skupina štorkelj je plesala, razvijajoč krila v popolni sinhronizaciji.
