DAILY DEVOTION WITH QUEEN ANGELA Held Above the Fall The Power of His Righteous Right Hand DAY 17 STRENGTH IN TIMES OF NEED
Published 6 months, 1 week ago
Description
Day 17: Strength in Times of Need Scripture: Isaiah 41:10 (KJV) — “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Affirmation: God is my unfailing source of strength and support in every situation.IntroductionIn seasons when questions outnumber answers and strength feels scarce, Isaiah 41:10 speaks with clarifying authority. This is not a gentle suggestion but a decisive declaration from God Himself: Do not fear—I am with you. I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you. Today, let this promise become the steady cadence beneath everything you face. It offers presence over panic, identity over insecurity, and divine action over human striving. As we begin, receive these words as your anchor and your assignment: walk forward with the confidence that the God who names Himself your God stands near to fortify, assist, and sustain you. Let His assurance quiet every lesser voice and frame your day with courage, clarity, and hope.Backstory of the Scripture Isaiah 41 sits within a section of Isaiah (chapters 40–48) often called “The Book of Comfort.” God is speaking to Israel—discouraged people facing present trouble and future exile—reminding them of His covenant faithfulness. Surrounded by stronger nations and uncertain tomorrows, Israel feared being forgotten. God answers their fear with Himself: His presence, His identity, and His action. The threefold promise—“I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you”—is God’s pledge to sustain His people not because of their strength, but because of His steadfast love and righteousness.A Bible story that highlights Isaiah 41:10 Peter Walks on Water (Matthew 14:22–33)When the disciples battled a fierce wind on the sea, Jesus came to them, walking on the water. He said, “Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid” (v. 27). Peter stepped out at Jesus’ word, but when he saw the wind, he began to sink and cried, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him (v. 31).How this illustrates Isaiah 41:10
