Dr. D. Corydon Hammond, a trailblazer in the fields of clinical hypnosis, neurofeedback, and quantitative EEG brain mapping. Dr. Hammond is a licensed psychologist and Professor Emeritus at the University of Utah School of Medicine, where he taught in the Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He has served as President of both the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis and the International Society for Neurofeedback & Research, helping to shape standards and ethics in both fields. With a clinical career spanning over four decades, Dr. Hammond is one of the earliest adopters of EEG neurofeedback in therapeutic practice, offering individualized treatment for conditions like ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, traumatic brain injury, sleep disorders, and more. He's also board-certified by leading organizations in neurofeedback and EEG science. Dr. Hammond is the author of over 180 professional publications and at least ten influential books, including the widely used Handbook of Hypnotic Suggestions and Metaphors. His writing and teaching have guided thousands of clinicians worldwide in using hypnosis and neurofeedback as therapeutic tools. He's received multiple lifetime achievement awards for his contributions to hypnosis and psychotherapy education, and he continues to maintain an active private practice in Utah, while also contributing to ongoing clinical and theological research.
