A Convicted Teacher Speaks Part 2

Episode 533 Published 8 months, 3 weeks ago
Description

Part 2: Three men say they were groomed and sexually abused by their female teachers. Dr. Phil investigates the rise of women offenders hiding in plain sight in America's classrooms.

Sexual abuse by female teachers is a growing, often overlooked crisis. Dr. Phil speaks with Michael, Justin, and Mason three men who say they were groomed, manipulated, and assaulted by women entrusted with their education. Michael and Justin were teens when their 25-year-old teacher used homework help as a gateway to off-campus meetings involving alcohol, drugs, and sex. Mason was just 11 when a married 35-year-old teacher violated his trust and his childhood.

Their attorneys, Zach Runyan and Jon Marko, claim school systems and social media enabled this abuse by turning a blind eye. Christy Jack, a defense attorney who's represented several teachers accused of assault, offers rare insight into the psychology of female offenders. Plus, one of her former clients who served prison time for abusing a 14-year-old student speaks out for the first time.

Why are female predators ignored—and who is protecting our children?
