God’s commands are according to his design.

God calls men to protect women, therefore he made men physically bigger and stronger. God also calls men to protect our families spiritually, therefore He fitted the man with a mind that is better suited to think deeply about theology.

I am not saying women can’t be strong or that women can’t be solid theologically. But the strongest people in the world are men and the greatest theological minds in the history of the church have been men.

What’s the Point?

Men! Stop saying things like “I don’t read”. You already think deeply and incessantly about your hobbies or your work. You can think deeply about God’s word. You are called to be a physical protector of your family but also a spiritual protector of your family. If you don’t know the word, you won’t be able to do that well.

God fitted your body to protect your family physically. God fitted your mind to protect your family spiritually. Get to work!
