Summary

In these chapters, we read about the reigns of four kings who were descendants of David. Their faithfulness to God varied, reminding us that being raised in a believing family doesn’t guarantee the same faith for the next generation. As parents, we must actively show our children the importance of faith and let them choose for themselves. Pride led to the downfall of some kings. Pride can affect anyone, regardless of age or devotion to God. The key is to constantly rely on Jesus and not on our own abilities. One king, Jotham, stood out for his lifelong devotion to God.
