Podcast Introduction
It’s Prophecy Friday, and we’ll read the book of Habakkuk. I ’m calling this episode “A Conversation With God.“

Summary
We do not know who Habakkuk was, but we do know is that the book of Habakkuk contains his conversations with God and his prayers on behalf of the people. One significant verse in the book, chapter 2, verse 4, states, “The just shall live by faith,” which is also quoted by Paul in Romans 1:16-17. This verse played a crucial role in Martin Luther’s questioning of the Roman Catholic Church’s practices during the Reformation. The first two chapters of Habakkuk is a dialogue between the prophet and God, while chapter three contains a prayer where Habakkuk asks for a revival, similar to what many of us also pray for. The prophet recognizes God’s power and asks Him to reveal it once again, pleading for mercy despite His anger. Habakkuk’s desire is for people to turn back to God.
