- I’m joined tonight by Education Minister Erica Stanford for an exclusive one on one chat about the gutsy and overdue call to dump NCEA in our schools.
- Across 23 long, wasted years and NINE Ministers - we have sat by and watched thousands of kids go through the failed system. These kids have been able to game the system, get credits without doing much and pass before the end of year exams so they don’t show or don’t care.
- A hopeless qualification that is not recognised by anyone, and finally a Minister with a plan, some guts and a tone of ambition for our young teenagers has acted and decisively so.
