Black unemployment rose to 7.2% in July, up from 6.8% in June and 6% in May, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The rise coincides with sharp job revisions and a federal rollback of diversity, equity and inclusion programs under President Donald Trump’s second-term agenda. White, Hispanic and Asian unemployment rates remained significantly lower.
