Meaning, rather than taking a second and exercising a little patience to determine the best course of action, they chose to ignore the information that was available and unnecessarily escalated the situation.
In the episode we discuss things like heuristics, stereotypes, cognition biases, entitlement, and how we can learn to “trade time” in order to make better decisions.
