The Red Sox (58-51) evened up their series against the Twins with a 8-3 victory at Target Field Tuesday night in Minneapolis. The Sox scored 4 runs in the 3rd inning against Pierson Ohl, who was making his MLB debut. The Sox avoid a 2nd straight loss and have won 4 of 6.

Going with Gio: Lucas Giolito turned in a quality outing, going 6.0 Innings and allowed 1 earned run on 5 hits. Giolito walked 2 and struck out 5 in improving to 7-2 with the victory. He recorded 9 fly ball outs and had 13 swings & misses in his outing. It's the 8th time this season where Giolito gave up 0 or 1 run in an outing and 3rd in the month of July. The Sox are now 11-5 in his 16 starts.

Sox at the Dish: The Red Sox got on the board first with Ceddanne Rafaela getting on with a 1-out Triple in the 3rd Inning. He scored on an RBI Single from Roman Anthony, who delivered on an 0-2 pitch. Rafaela's Triple ended a streak of 10 straight games without an Extra-Base Hit. Alex Breman made it 2-0 with an RBI Double and Trevor Story made it 4-0 with a 2-out, 2-run Home Run. Jarren Duran homered in the 5th to make it 5-0.
