DOES MY DOUBT DISQUALIFY MY FAITH? 

HOW CAN I OVERCOME MY DOUBTS?

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

「信仰」とは、私たち人間が望んでいることを現実にするものであり、神が約束している未だ目にしていないもの全てを保証するものである。

As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”

聖書ではこう書いてある。 「誰でもイエスを信じる者は、決して失望させられることはない」

One of the men in the crowd spoke up and said, “Teacher, I brought my son so you could heal him. He is possessed by an evil spirit that won’t let him talk. (18) And whenever this spirit seizes him, it throws him violently to the ground. Then he foams at the mouth and grinds his teeth and becomes rigid. So I asked your disciples to cast out the evil spirit, but they couldn’t do it.”

ある男が答えた。「先生！息子が悪い霊に取り憑かれ、話すことができないんです。イエス先生ならと思い、診てもらいに来たんです！ (18) その霊が息子に襲い掛かると、息子の口から泡を吹かせ、ドンッと息子を地面に投げ倒し、歯ぎしりをさせ、硬直させやがるんです・・・先生がいなかったので、先生のお弟子さんに悪い霊を追い払うようにお願いしたんですが、無理だったようで・・・先生、どうかっ！」

How long has this been happening?” Jesus asked the boy’s father. He replied, “Since he was a little boy. (22) The spirit often throws him into the fire or into water, trying to kill him. Have mercy on us and help us, if you can. (23) “What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.” (24) The father instantly cried out, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!” (25) When Jesus saw that the crowd of onlookers was growing, he rebuked the evil spirit. “Listen, you spirit that makes this boy unable to hear and speak,” he said. “I command you to come out of this child and never enter him again!” (26) Then the spirit screamed and threw the boy into another violent convulsion and left him. The boy appeared to be dead. A murmur ran through the crowd as people said, “He’s dead.” (27) But Jesus took him by the hand and helped him to his feet, and he stood up.

イエスはその子の父親に聞いた。「これはどのくらい続いているのですか？」父親は答えた。「幼いときからです。 (22) この悪い霊が息子を殺そうと、炎や湖の中に身を投げ込むもんで、息子は何度死にかけて・・・お願いします！もし救えるなら、うちの子を救ってください！」 (23) イエスは父親に言った。「なぜ『もし可能なら』と言う？信じる者には、全てが可能だ！」 (24) すぐに父親は叫んだ。「信じます！信じます！どうか、もっと私が信じられるように助けてください！」 (25) イエスは野次馬が集まってきたのを見ると、悪い霊をギロッとにらんで言った。「おい！耳と口をふさぐ悪い霊よ！少年から出ろッ！そして、2度と戻ってくるな！！！」 (26) 「ウギャァァァァ〰〰」悪い霊は叫び声をあげながら、少年を地面にもう一度投げ倒し、体から出ていった。少年は白目を向いてピクりともしない・・・多くの人が言った。「死んだ・・・」 (27) しかし、イエスは平然と少年の手を取り、立ち上がらせた。

But Jesus overheard them and said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith.”

しかし、イエスは男たちが言ったことを耳にして、ユダヤ集会所の会堂長に言った。「ヤイロ、恐れるな！ただ信じろ！」

And if Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless, and your faith is useless.

そして、もしキリストの復活がないのなら、私たちの伝えるメッセージも、そこから生まれたあなた達の信じる心も空っぽだということだ。

MY FAITH IS POWERFUL BECAUSE MY GOD IS POWERFUL. 神様が力強いからこそ、自分の信仰は力強い。

3) STAY CLOSE TO JESUS イエスのそばに居続ける
