In 2017, ABC’s highly-rated show, The Bachelorette, FINALLY had its first Black lead, Rachel Lindsay! Unfortunately, her time on the coveted franchise wasn’t as “rosy” as she anticipated. Rachel joins Carlos to talk about her perceived tokenization, black women dating outside of their race, the onslaught of racist messages she received from some Bachelor Nation fans, and advice she would give to other black women who want to appear on the show.
