When you see mold on your food, your first instinct is to throw it away. But is mold always that terrible and dangerous for your health? There are at least 14 types of molds you can find in the woods, in your house, or even on your plate. They look weird and cool at the same time. What about the friendly food that’s moldy on purpose? Penicillium roqueforti is the blue cheese mold. And if Penicillium sounds familiar, that's because it does save lives, and I'm sure you heard about it before.
