BE STRONG IN GOD'S GENERATIONAL PROMISES
ABRAHAM'S JOURNEY OF FAITH AND PROMISE
(Genesis 12:1-3 NIV / ĺľä¸č¨ 12:1-3 JCB)Â
The Lord had said to Abram, âGo from your country, your people and your fatherâs household to the land I will show you. (2) I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.(3) I will bless those who bless you and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.
ABRAHAM'S FAMILY TURNED FROM IDOLS TO GOD'S PROMISES
(Joshua 24:15b NIV)Â
"But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.â
WE BECOME SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF GOD THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST
(Romans 4:2-3 NIV)
If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast aboutâbut not before God. (3) What does Scripture say? âAbraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.â
(Romans 4:16 NIV)Â
Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abrahamâs offspringânot only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.
ZACCHAEUS BECOMES A âSON OF ABRAHAMâ PROMISE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST
(Luke 19:5-10 NIV)Â
When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, âZacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.â(6) So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly. (7) All the people saw this and began to mutter, âHe has gone to be the guest of a sinner.â (8) But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, âLook, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.â (9) Jesus said to him, âToday salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. (10) For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.
THE PHILIPPIANS JAILOR ASKS THE KEY QUESTION
(Acts 16:30-31 NIV)Â
He then brought them out and asked, âSirs, what must I do to be saved?â (31) They replied, âBelieve in the Lord Jesus, and you will be savedâyou and your household.â (32) Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house.(33) At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his household were baptized. (34) The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in Godâhe and his whole household.
