Crumble Vs. Shift – The Power Of Our Words

Published 1 year ago
Description

In a recent crossover podcast episode with my friend Melissa Oatman, host of Awaken Your Inner Awesomeness podcast, we got into a juicy conversation on the power of our words. It’s HUGE!

We explored how the words we speak, out loud and to ourselves, shape our reality. Words impact our energy and even steer our spiritual path. Let’s get into some of the highlights from this inspiring conversation.

The Power of Our Words Is Magic!

Crumbling is a negative term and is that what is really happening to our country? Instead, we are shifting into a better version as we notice what needs to be changed or improved.Words are like little spells. Whether you realize it or not, they carry energy which absolutely matters. Your language influences how you feel, what you believe, and even how things play out in your life.

Think about how often you throw around phrases like, “I’m drowning in work” or “This is killing me” or even “What a pain in the ass.” It might seem harmless, but those words can create an energetic echo that subtly starts shaping your reality.

This is where the law of attraction kicks in. The words you use are like seeds that take root in the subconscious. Over time, they grow into beliefs, feelings, and patterns—good or bad. That’s why being more intentional with what you say can create big shifts.

Even replacing a little self-deprecating humor or those habitual negative phrases with something more positive can totally change the vibe you put out into the world. Not only that, but also what you inviting back in.

Is It Really Crumbling? Or Just Shifting?

the power of our wordsOne topic Melissa and I dove into was the language being used right now, especially in the US spiritual community. There’s a lot of talk about how things are “crumbling”—our institutions, our systems, all of it. But is that really what’s happening?

What if, instead of saying things are falling apart, we say they’re shifting?

Words like “crumbling” tend to bring up fear. They can make us feel powerless, like everything’s slipping out of control. But shifting? That feels different. That feels hopeful, empowering, and even exciting. It frames change as evolution instead of destruction.

And no, this doesn’t mean we pretend everything’s okay. It just means we’re choosing to engage with what’s happening from a more empowered place. When speaking of transformation instead of collapse, you open yourself and others to curiosity, possibility, and new solutions.
