This week on Chess Journeys, I spoke with Benner. He’s a Chessable author, coach, and adult improver. He’s gone from 750 to 2000 FIDE and 2600 Lichess Bullet. Benner talked about his improvement journey starting with a focus on tactics and playing. He also discussed his approach to creating Chessable courses, and how got started making them. We also discussed many topics such as the importance of opening theory, the value of OTB tournaments, and resources for improvement.
