Season 1 Episode 55
Have you ever caught yourself thinking, “Ugh, I’m just an angry person,” or “Why am I always like this?” In this episode of Calmer Conversations, I want to offer you what is hopefully an effective reframe: just because you feel an emotion doesn’t mean it defines who you are. Feeling anger doesn’t make you an angry person. Feeling fear doesn’t mean you’re fearful. I talk about how emotions are physical sensations that move through us and how the stories we attach to them are often what cause the most suffering. When we learn to separate who we are from what we feel, we open up space for choice, compassion, and real change. This is the kind of shift that can truly change how you move through your day and your life. Tune in and let me know if it lands for you.
