Ca: La calidesa del sol d'estiu s'escampava per les ruïnes antigues de Tarragona.
En: The warmth of the summer sun spread across the ancient ruins of Tarragona.

Ca: Les pedres velles brillaven a la llum solar, cridant l'atenció dels turistes que vagarejaven amb càmeres i xancletes.
En: The old stones shone in the sunlight, catching the attention of tourists wandering around with cameras and flip-flops.

Ca: Entre aquestes pedres, tres figures es destacaven amb disfresses peculiarment pintoresques: Roc, Laia i Pau.
En: Among these stones, three figures stood out in peculiarly picturesque costumes: Roc, Laia, and Pau.

Ca: Roc, amb una túnica blanca que feia semblar un senador romà, passava les mans pels cabells, intentant semblar seriós i històric.

Ca: Volia impressionar la Laia.

En: She, however, enjoyed watching Pau's antics more.

Ca: Pau, amb una corona de llorer massa gran pel cap, feia rialles amb el seu públic.
En: Pau, with a laurel crown that was too big for his head, amused the crowd.

Ca: S'inventava històries boges sobre gladiadors ballant sardanes.
En: He invented crazy stories about gladiators dancing sardanes.

Ca: —Atenció, turistes! —cridà Roc des de dalt d'una pedra alta—.
En: "Attention, tourists!" Roc shouted from atop a high stone.

Ca: Us presento... eh... el famós emperador romà, Antonius... Tarraconius!
En: "I present to you... uh... the famous Roman emperor, Antonius... Tarraconius!"

Ca: Laia va aixecar una cella.
En: Laia raised an eyebrow.

Ca: —Tarraconius? Quin nom! —va murmurar rient—.
En: "Tarraconius? What a name!" she murmured, laughing.

Ca: Això existeix?
En: "Does that even exist?"

Ca: Pau, sense perdre l'ocasió, continuà amb la seva pròpia història.
En: Pau, not missing the opportunity, continued with his own story.

Ca: —Saps què?
En: "You know what?

Ca: Diuen que aquest emperador va inventar el pa amb tomàquet!
En: They say this emperor invented pa amb tomàquet!

Ca: Així va començar tot!
En: That's how it all began!"

Ca: Els turistes reien, gaudint de l'espectacle còmic.
En: The tourists laughed, enjoying the comedic show.

Ca: Tot, però, canvia quan un home amb ulleres apareix entre la multitud.
En: Everything, however, changed when a man with glasses appeared among the crowd.

Ca: Era un historiador real, de pell morena i mirada curiosa.
En: He was a real historian, with tanned skin and a curious gaze.

Ca: —Perdona'm, —digué l'historiador amb un to afable—
En: "Excuse me," the historian said in a friendly tone,

Ca: però em temo que cap Antonius Tarraconius no va mai existir, ni els romans menjaven pa amb tomàquet...
En: "but I'm afraid no Antonius Tarraconius ever existed, nor did the Romans eat pa amb tomàquet..."
