The Cincinnati Reds fell 6-1 to the Washington Nationals on Tuesday night despite racking up 10 hits, including a perfect 4-for-4 night from Gavin Lux. Rookie starter Chase Burns flashed his electric stuff with 10 strikeouts, but some costly mistakes led to five earned runs and ultimately doomed his outing. The Reds were unable to capitalize on their offensive opportunities, stranding multiple runners throughout the night. With the loss, Cincinnati will look to avoid the sweep in Wednesday afternoon’s series finale.
