Southern California Surf Forecast: Moderate Waves, Mild Rip Currents, and Perfect Wetsuit Conditions Along the Coast

Description
Surf's up, wave riders! We've got an epic forecast brewing along the Southern California coast today.

The Malibu and Los Angeles County beaches are serving up a moderate rip current risk with surf heights starting at a mellow 1 to 3 feet this morning and building to a sweet 2 to 4 feet by evening. Water temps are holding steady between 64 and 68 degrees - perfect for a shorty wetsuit.

Ventura County is matching that vibe with similar conditions - moderate rip current risk and surf heights climbing from 1 to 3 feet to 2 to 4 feet as the day progresses. Water temps are slightly cooler at 62 to 67 degrees.

For our Santa Barbara County surfers, things are a bit more chill. We're looking at a low rip current risk with consistent 1 to 3 foot surf and water temperatures hovering around 63 to 64 degrees. Not epic, but definitely rideable.

The real action is up in San Luis Obispo, where 2 to 4 foot swells today will bump up to 3 to 5 feet tomorrow. A solid south swell is lighting up the coast with water temps in the upper 50s.

Tide-wise, we're seeing dramatic swings between negative low tides and high peaks around 6.8 feet. Morning low tides kick in around 3:45-4:30 AM, with high tides mid-morning.

No thunderstorm threats mean clean conditions for all you wave hunters. Stay alert, watch those rip currents, and catch some killer waves! Aloha!
