Labour is demanding the release of a government briefing on homelessness, warning it may confirm that record-level homelessness has worsened under the National-led coalition’s watch.
Butter up 46.5% to $8.16. Cheese up 30% to $13. Food prices have risen for 8 straight months. 20,000 more people are on JobSeeker than last year. And now the government’s hinting at rate caps.
In a speech this morning, the deputy prime minister said ‘blaming isn’t productive’, then proceeded to link ‘roadblocks’ such as cultural clauses in resource consents to rates rises leading to high inflation.
