Episode 242
Mitch Brisker was a 23 year old heroin-addicted film school drop-out when he found Scientology in Downtown Hollywood. Through recovery, he went on to become a successful commercial director and caught the eye of Scientology’s notorious leader, David Miscavige. Mitch ultimately became the chief architect of Scientology’s global propaganda machine, creating the films Scientology still uses for recruitment and obedience. Nearly 30 years later Mitch left the cult and began speaking out about the abuses he witnessed and experienced. Throughout our chat he shares his moral injury of participating in the lasting influence of the cult of Scientology.
