Angela Craig died a slow and painful death from cyanide and tetrahydrozoline (an over-the-counter ingredient found in eye drops). He poisoned his wife over a period of time as she was hospitalized at least three times in a month. The final time she was hospitalized, he entered her room to give her the fatal dose of cyanide that killed her three days later. James told the hospital staff that Angela was suicidal to cover up what he was doing. She confronted him about that shortly before she died. She knew about his multiple affairs over the years and allegedly told him she wanted them to stay married anyway. James fell in love with a fellow dentist, and it was said that he was having financial problems. He left their six kids without a mother and a father due to his selfish act.
