Introduction

How much stuff do you need to be happy? One of things that can make us most unhappy is thinking we don’t have what we want. I need a new car. The neighbours have just come back from a holiday I could never afford. I want the latest gadget, and I want it now. If only I could afford my dream home. But focusing on stuff can make us unhappy.

God Promises to Meet All Our Needs

Stuff won't make you happy. We can’t always get what we think we want. But God does promise to meet all our needs. He’s talking about what we actually need rather than what we think we need, of course. God loves you and he doesn’t want you to lack anything you really need.

God is Our Provider

God is your provider, and he is the one who will supply all that you need. If you choose to trust him then you lose the stress of not having all you want. You move away from the accumulation of stuff. In other words, you find happiness!

How Much Stuff Do You Need to be Happy?

Maybe it's about living with less stuff. Because as it turns out, trusting in God lowers your stress and helps you see the many ways he is blessing you. As you live with less stuff, that is a recipe for happiness, isn’t it!
