The Miami Hurricanes have just won a crucial recruiting battle over an in-state rival!
Four star wide receiver Somourian Wingo has just chosen Miami over Florida and South Carolina. The 6-2, 180 pounder from St. Augustine Florida became a top recruiting target for the Hurricanes due to his versatility as a receiver. Wingo impressed Miami coaches last summer when he stood out during an offseason camp. Wingo, as a junior in high school, caught 65 passes for over 1,000 yards. He stood out against American Heritage, hauling in 140 receiving yards, including an 80 yard touchdown.
