In the opening episode of Faces of The League, Gavriel and Torrence discuss what makes a player not only a superstar but one worthy of being deemed of the dubious honor following all the recent chatter that many around the game ranging from media to players have had on the matter over the past several months (01:10), whether or not a face of the league can be one that is manufactured (09:16) and if markets play a role as to whether or not a given player can become one (11:10).

While also taking a trip back down days of past to pinpoint where the talk surrounding who is the face of the league began to take shape, before highlighting a pair of figures that took the game to new heights during the 1970s in Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Julius "Dr. J."
