Mr. Jones of Manor Farm is so lazy and drunken that one day he forgets to feed the farm animals. This leads to a rebellion led by the pigs Napoleon and Snowball, resulting in the animals taking over the estate. They vow to put an end to the monstrous inequalities that prevailed under Mr. Jones, and from then on, the renamed Animal Farm is meant to serve all the quadrupeds.
