Sl: Vroče poletno sonce je osvetljevalo družinsko posestvo v Ljubljani.
En: The hot summer sun illuminated the family estate in Ljubljana.

En: It was time for the family reunion, which everyone awaited with mixed feelings.

En: Vid sat on a bench by the blooming garden.

En: Looking at the gathered relatives, he felt a slight nervousness.

En: Mateja stood close to him, leaning against an old oak.

Sl: Njene oči so se iskrile od energije in skrivnosti.
En: Her eyes sparkled with energy and mystery.

En: She was known for her tendency to stir up things, but in truth, she wanted to unite the family.

Sl: "Daj no, Vid," je rekla Mateja s širokim nasmehom.
En: "Come on, Vid," said Mateja with a wide smile.

Sl: "Naj bo to vikend brez dram!
En: "Let this be a drama-free weekend!"

Sl: "Vid je vedel, da bo težko.
En: Vid knew it would be hard.

En: Since childhood, he had not been on the best terms with Uncle Milan, and Aunt Mija always knew how to spark arguments from trivial matters.

Sl: Sonce se je začelo spuščati, glasovi so se razlegali skozi posestvo, in prišel je čas za večerjo.
En: The sun began to set, voices echoed throughout the estate, and it was time for dinner.

Sl: Okrog dolge lesene mize so se zbrali vsi: stric Milan, teta Mija, Vidova mama in še druge sorodne duše.
En: Around the long wooden table gathered everyone: Uncle Milan, Aunt Mija, Vid's mom, and other kindred souls.

En: The tension in the air was so thick you could cut it.

Sl: Nekaj časa je vse potekalo mirno.
En: For a while, everything proceeded calmly.

En: Then Mateja, as if she couldn't endure any longer, said, "Why don't we talk about what's bothering us?"

Sl: "Kar naenkrat je v sobi zavladala tišina.
En: Suddenly, silence fell in the room.

Sl: Vid je začutil, kako ga prebadajo pogledi.
En: Vid felt the piercing gazes.

En: He gathered courage, took a deep breath, and decided to take the lead.

En: "Many times we've felt like we couldn't speak honestly," Vid began.

Sl: "Rad bi, da tokrat poskusimo.
En: "I'd like us to try this time.

Sl: Vsi želimo isto - da se razumemo.
En: We all want the same thing - to understand each other."

Sl: "Beseda za besedo so začeli odpirati stare rane.
En: Word by word, they began to open old wounds.

En: Vid felt like he was small again, but this time he didn't run away.
