Los Angeles, CA Surf Report for 07-08-2025

Description
Surf's up, beach lovers! We're looking at some sweet conditions along the Southern California coastline today.

Malibu and LA County beaches are serving up a moderate rip current risk with waves rolling in at 2 to 4 feet. Water temperatures are sitting pretty between 60 and 72 degrees - not too shabby for a summer day. The south swell is delivering some solid wave action that'll keep surfers and paddleboarders stoked.

Tide schedule is looking dynamic with four key movements today. Early risers can catch a low tide at negative 0.3 feet around 4:15 AM, followed by a rising high tide of 3.4 feet by late morning. Afternoon brings another low tide at 2.7 feet, and evening wraps up with a robust 5.9 foot high tide perfect for those sunset sessions.

Ventura County beaches are tracking similarly with moderate rip current risks today, transitioning to low risk by Wednesday. Expect consistent 2 to 4 foot waves and water temperatures hovering between 62 and 65 degrees.

Further north, San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara central coast beaches are offering slightly larger surf at 3 to 5 feet today, increasing to 3 to 6 feet tomorrow. These beaches are experiencing a mixed south and west swell that'll provide some killer riding conditions. Water's a bit chillier up here though, ranging from 52 to 54 degrees - wetsuit recommended.

No thunderstorm potential across the entire forecast, so clear skies and clean waves are on tap. Stay safe, watch those rip currents, and enjoy the California coast!
