Back to EpisodesDo Boys Read Books About Girls?
Description
Girls tend to read books with male protagonists (Harry Potter, Diary of a Wimpy Kid), but do boys read books with female protagonists? Todd and Cathy ask this question, as well as how men respond to female leads in movies and television (specifically their recent experience after seeing the movie Trainwreck, and why Amy Poehler once got mad at Jimmy Fallon in the SNL writer’s room). They also talk about Who’s the Boss, Family Ties, and why IBM and Netflix are changing their family policies.
We also discuss our friend Roman Krznaric’s Empathy Museum. If you’re interested in participating in his crowd sourcing campaign, please click here. We interviewed Roman on April 10th and you can here it by going to https://zenpopparenting.com/empathy/
