Should OTAs go away and what are we watching when Browns QB Deshaun Watson throws Thursday?

Published 1 year, 9 months ago
Description

The NFLPA is trying to do away with the NFL's offseason program, proposing a move up to the start of training camp instead of the current system which involves mostly voluntary work and one mandatory minicamp.

Mary Kay Cabot, Ashley Bastock and Dan Labbe begin Tuesday's Orange and Brown Talk podcast by discussing the proposal and their feelings on whether there should be an offseason program or not. Is there a benefit to the proposal? Would it be a bad idea? They go over the pros and (mostly) cons of the proposal.

Then they look ahead to Thursday, this week's open practice for the Browns. They are expected to see Deshaun Watson throw in-person for the first time and they get into what they'll watch when they're out there and also get into some other things to look for during their second opportunity to watch practice.
