Author J P Miller is on the #ReadingWithYourKids #Podcast to celebrate her biography of Rebecca Lee Crumpler, the first African American Woman to become a physician in the United States. This biography is part of JP's Leaders Like Us Series. The biography of Dr Crumpler was of special interest to us as she practiced medicine here in our home neighborhood of Readville back in the time of the Civil War. She cared for the men of the Massachusetts 54th, the first all black army regimine.
