One of the most difficult things in our culture to do is to be your authentic self. To not doubt who you are. From an early age we feel the pressure to belong to this group or that group. This status or that. To fit in, conform, and change to please.
To be who you truly are is scary, and with social media and the all keyboard critics, it can become even worse. It takes courage to listen to that little voice inside that whispers, “Yes, this is me.” That voice is the choice to listen to YOURSELF and not anyone else. To live otherwise is pretending.
Belonging doesn’t require us to CHANGE who we are, it requires us to BE who we are. The right people will accept you for who you are if you ARE who you really are meant to be. So set aside your fear of rejection, criticism or judgement and be authentic.
