Sl: Ljubljana je bila vroča tistega poletja.
En: Ljubljana was hot that summer.
Sl: V visokem večnadstropnem poslovnem centru so klimatizirane pisarne doneli od zvokov tipkovnic in telefonskih klicev.
En: In the tall, multi-story business center, the air-conditioned offices echoed with the sounds of keyboards and phone calls.
Sl: Sonce je svetilo skozi velika okna, ki so ponujala pogled na mesto, medtem ko sta Mateja in Tomaž sedela v svoji majhni pisarni.
En: The sun shone through large windows that offered a view of the city, while Mateja and Tomaž sat in their small office.
Sl: Mateja je bila zaskrbljena.
En: Mateja was worried.
Sl: Na mizi je imel svoj kraj kopico dokumentov.
En: On the desk, she had a stack of documents.
Sl: V mislih pa ji je hodilo na njenega bolnega očeta doma.

Sl: Na drugi strani je Tomaž skušal ohraniti vedrino.
En: On the other hand, Tomaž was trying to maintain a positive outlook.
Sl: Vedel je, kako pomembno je, da bo ta projekt uspešen, saj bi z njim zagotovil stabilnost za svojo družino.
En: He knew how important it was for the project to succeed since it would ensure stability for his family.
Sl: Oba sta bila izčrpana.
En: Both of them were exhausted.
Sl: Projekt je zašel na težko pot.
En: The project had taken a difficult turn.
Sl: Njihov šef, gospod Novak, je bil strog in nestrpen.
En: Their boss, Mr. Novak, was strict and impatient.
Sl: Rok je bil skoraj tukaj, vendar so se pojavile nepredvidene težave.
En: The deadline was almost here, but unforeseen problems had arisen.

Sl: "Ampak kaj, če obidemo nekaj malenkosti?
En: "But what if we skip some small details?
Sl: Tako bi lahko ujeli rok.
En: That way, we could meet the deadline."
Sl: "Mateja ga je pogledala v oči.
En: Mateja looked him in the eyes.
Sl: Videla je njegovo bojazen.
En: She saw his anxiety.
Sl: "To ni prav, Tomaž," je rekla.
En: "That's not right, Tomaž," she said.
Sl: "Če to naredimo, tvegamo celoten projekt.
En: "If we do that, we risk the entire project.
Sl: Kaj pa, če prosim za pomoč Ivana?
En: How about I ask Ivan for help?
Sl: Je izkušeni sodelavec.
En: He's an experienced colleague.
Sl: Mogoče ima kakšno rešitev.
En: Maybe he has a solution."
Sl: "Tomaž je omahoval, nato pa prikimal.
En: Tomaž hesitated, then nodded.
Sl: "V redu.
En: "Alright.
Sl: Poskusimo po tvoje.
En: Let's try your way.
