YouTube is testing an AI-powered search results carousel for select Premium users in the United States, displaying a featured video, relevant thumbnails, and AI-generated summaries for searches related to shopping, travel, and activities. The feature is available on iOS and Android for English-language videos and will run through July 30th for a randomly selected group. YouTube is also expanding its conversational AI tool, which answers user questions about videos, to some non-Premium users in the US.
