Having each won their opening two games with the minimum of fuss against Wydad AC and Al Ain, Juventus and Manchester City have already assured themselves of qualification from Group G, but the incentive for the victor is progressing as section winners.
The winners of this Group G will go into the opposing side of the draw to PSG, Bayern and potentially Real Madrid— if Real Madrid win Group H tonight, as expected. The carrot of avoiding those three and facing Inter Milan and Chelsea instead, could lead to a stronger Guardiola line up than we’ve seen so far.
