The time is now 03:00 PM in New York, I'm Noa Levi and this is the latest Israel Today: Ongoing War Report.

At three in the afternoon, this is the latest update on the ongoing security situation in Israel and the broader regional conflict. Following a twelve-day war between Israel and Iran, a ceasefire has been officially implemented, leading to a full return to normalcy across the country, as announced by the Home Front Command. All restrictions have been lifted, and life resumes its regular rhythm, including airport operations at Ben-Gurion and Haifa airports returning to full capacity.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that Israel has inflicted a significant blow to Iran's nuclear project. In a statement to the press, he emphasized that Israel destroyed key facilities in Arak, Natanz, and Isfahan, and eliminated hundreds of regime operatives in the early hours of the operation. Netanyahu stated, "We have brought Iran's nuclear ambitions to the ground. If they think of trying again, we will respond with force once more."

Meanwhile, Iran's response has been notable yet restrained in public, despite reports from opposition channels and the IRGC that Iranian air defense systems were activated in Tehran, Shiraz, and Mashhad. Iran's nuclear chief, Mohammad Eslami, vowed that the country's nuclear program will continue and be revived despite the damage inflicted. He said preparations to prevent any interruption in nuclear activities were planned in advance, and the program will persist.

On the ground, several incidents have occurred. A motorcyclist in his 50s was injured in a collision on Road 431 near Ness Ziona and was taken to hospital in moderate condition. Additionally, a 54-year-old electric scooter rider was hospitalized after a fall in Pardes Hanna.

The conflict has also extended beyond Israel's borders. Iranian-backed missile and drone attacks from Yemen persist, with recent strikes reported in Beersheva, resulting in the deaths of three civilians—Michal Zacks, her son Eitan, and his girlfriend Noa—who were in a bomb shelter during a direct missile hit. In response, Israeli Defense Forces launched strikes in Tehran, targeting Iranian military infrastructure, which Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed.

Internationally, the Iranian diaspora in Los Angeles continues to hold hopes for regime change, with some expressing support for increased Western intervention. The US under President Trump previously authorized strikes on Iranian nuclear sites and raised the possibility of regime change, though recent developments have seen a shift towards diplomatic efforts, including the resumption of cooperation between Iran and the IAEA. Yet, Iran remains committed to advancing its nuclear and missile programs, with plans to continue despite ongoing military setbacks.

Domestically, Israel has adjusted its civil defense protocols, with the military lifting restrictions and declaring a return to full activity. The recent escalation has resulted in significant casualties—28 Israelis killed, over 3,000 wounded, and hundreds of homes destroyed—mostly impacting civilians, with minimal strategic infrastructure damage.

In summary, Israel has achieved substantial strategic gains by degrading Iran’s nuclear and missile capabilities and demonstrating military resilience. However, the threat persists, and Iran's ambitions for nuclear armament and regional dominance remain active. The current ceasefire marks a pause, but the underlying tensions and the Iranian regime's intentions to rebuild and continue their programs indicate that this conflict may not be over. The international community and Israel must remain vigilant, as the challenge of
