कदाचित् प.पू वल्लभदीक्षितः तत्पुत्रः च श्रीधरहर्गेमहाराजः तीर्थयात्रां कुर्वन्तौ गोदावरीनद्याः समीपे स्थितं राजमहेद्रपत्तनम् आगतवन्तौ । सुखसम्पन्नं नगरं दृष्ट्वा वल्लभदीक्षितः सङ्कल्पितवान् यत् सप्त दिनानि भागवतपारायणं कथाश्रवणं च करणीयम्, तदवसरे सर्वजातिबान्धवानाम् अपि भोजनव्यवस्था करणीया इति । किन्तु नगरस्य धनिकाः वणिजः अदृष्टपूर्वे जने अधिकं विश्वासं कर्तुम् अनिच्छन्तः साहाय्यं न कृतवन्तः । यस्मिन् दिने वल्लभदीक्षितः पारायणस्य आरम्भं कृतवान् तस्मिन्नेव भगवान् रामः, लक्ष्मणः, हनूमान् च वेषान्तरं धृत्वा आपणं स्थापयित्वा सहस्रशः जनेभ्यः‌ भोजनं दत्तवन्तः ।

Once, the revered Vallabhadikshita and his son, Shri Dharahargemaharaj, embarked on a pilgrimage and arrived at Rajamahendrapattanam, situated near the Godavari river. Upon seeing the prosperous town, Vallabhadikshita resolved to conduct a seven-day Bhagavata recitation and storytelling session. On this occasion, he decided to arrange food for people from all communities and castes. However, the wealthy merchants of the town, reluctant to trust an unfamiliar person, refused to offer help. On the very day Vallabhadikshita began the recitation, Lord Rama, Lakshmana, and Hanuman, disguised in different forms, established a stall and served food to thousands of people.
